Sealander Studio is a design-build firm located at 5 Bay Road in Brooklin, Maine. The firm principals are Mike and Robyn Sealander, who graduated from the architecture program at Columbia University in 1992.
After graduation, Mike and Robyn moved to San Francisco. Mike worked for a design-build contractor for several years as both a designer and carpenter, then worked for several architecture firms specializing in institutional projects for Bay Area colleges. Notable projects included the seismic retrofit of Mitchell Earth Sciences at Stanford University, two renovation projects for the Catholic Archdiocese, the San Francisco Police Department station at the San Francisco International Airport, and a library and laboratory building at Mision College in Saratoga.
Robyn worked for a firm specializing in municipal projects for several years, ending her tenure as a firm principal before moving on to doing interior architecture for high-tech clients in Silicon Valley. Notable projects included tenant improvements at San Leandro City Hall, San Leandro Public Library, San Carlos City Hall seismic retrofit, and Cadence Design Systems tenant improvements.
In 1998 Mike and Robyn began work on projects of their own, before moving to Brooklin, Maine in 2001. Since then, they have completed over approximately 2 million dollars in construction as a design-build office.
